Comfort VS Character

I’m not sure if you have ever heard this saying: “God is more interested in your character than your comfort.” I am a lover of comfort. Comfort food, comfortable shoes, lazy afternoons and an overall comfortable life. When I hear that saying, I cringe and I tell myself it does not apply to me. But it does. We have been raised in a culture that will always look for the quick and easy way out. Even I have been raised in a religious system that believe GOD will let everything work out perfectly and all He wants to give me is a comfortable and easy life.

That is so far from the truth. Growth happens when we are pushed beyond our comfort zone. It is when we run faster, lift heavier weights. do more than expected and give even when it hurts. Character is the one of the things that can open doors for you. Comfort is the one things that will close doors and steel new possibilities

How can you grow in CHARACTER and flee from COMFORT:

1. Realise that new equals new. So step out and embrace the new thing, habit or day.

2.Challenge yourself. Find your comfort zone and stay out of it.

3. Stop delaying change. Only changing will change you. Ha! Read that again.

4. Stop breaking promises you made to yourself. Keep your word.

5. We develop character and we manage comfort. Don’t swap the two.

Build character and destroying comfort zones.
